Report on Implementation of Corona Vaccine in Dewanbegi Clinic

The Corona vaccine implementation series, which began on August 24, 2022, is being conducted at the Dewanbegi Clinic from Saturday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., in accordance with the agreement with the Afghanistan Ministry of Public Health and Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) administration.

This series is being carried out by WHO with the assistance of Afghanistan’s Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), and Mr. Rahmatullah Fazli, a skilled vaccinator, is promoting it here at Dewanbegi Clinic. Two coronavirus vaccines are being administered by this vaccinator and are free to recipients.

These two types of vaccines are as follows:

1. Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine

One vial (bottle) of the American anti-coronavirus vaccine Janssen contains five doses, each of which is 0.5 mL for one individual. The vaccine developed by Janssen has a 12-month protection period. After a year, this person may reapply for the Janssen assistance vaccination.

2. Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine

A single vial (bottle) of the Sinopharm vaccine, a Chinese coronavirus vaccine, holds two doses, each of which comprises 0.5 mL for one individual. After six months, the Sinopharm

vaccination confers protection, at which point any dose of Sinopharm may be administered once again. It is important to note that the Sinopharm vaccine is given twice: once during the initial appointment and once at the Dewanbegi Clinic one month later.

To whom is the corona vaccine applied?

Males and females over the age of 18 are eligible for the Corona (Covid-19) vaccination.

Pregnant women and those who are allergic to the medicine shouldn’t use it, though.

Every day, on average, eight (8) people visit Dewanbegi Clinic for the purpose of applying the Corona vaccine.
