Dr. Mohammad Farid Bazgar

Dr. Mohammad Farid Bazgar, son of Abdul Qayoum Bazgar, was born on the 3 rd of June 1960 in the village of Chahar Qala, Narang District, Kunar Province.

Dr. Mohammad Farid Bazgar studied at Habibiya High School in Kabul until the twelfth grade. He graduated from Kabul medical school in 1986. Dr. Mohammad Farid is married and now lives with his family in Kabul.

Dr. Mohammad Farid Bazgar has followed three temporary courses of the AIDS project in Cairo, Egypt, with the financial support of the World Health Organization (WHO). Also, he has followed short-term health, administrative and training courses in Bangkok-Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Morocco, Pakistan and various other countries. He has worked as a regional trainer in UNICEF (Pakistan/Afghanistan), as a national trainer in WFP and as an international advisor in WHO (Geneva).

He has written and translated many Dari / Farsi and English language books into Pashto. He has participated in 4-5 international AIDS conferences.

In 1992, he founded the Khatiz Organization for Rehabilitation (KOR), which works and has activities in the field of health, education and children.

Now he is the executive chairman of Khatiz Organization for Rehabilitation (KOR), and he is also managing Farid Bazgar Foundation.
